ARTISTS - PARTNERS - SPONSORS
It is important for ART-TROPE to welcome and help artists to meet their expectations.
That is why it is important that all members share a commitment to mutual respect and cordiality.
Your application request will be taken into account as soon as possible.
Please send us complete Microsoft Word documents & image files and contact us if you have any difficulties putting together your application.
The membership begins from the day of membership approval.
The Application Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any application that does not meet our partnership criteria.
The panel of professionals reserves the right to disagree with your choice of artist category.
If this is the case, we will notify you and will wait for a mail/email confirming your agreement with the change of category, and before posting your info online.
ART-TROPE guarantees you complete confidentiality and ART-TROPE will never use your information for any purposes other than arranging exhibitions of ART-TROPE artists.
ART-TROPE automatically includes you in its mailing list so you stay updated about all our new events unless you opt out of being on this list.
Please contact us if you encounter any difficulties completing your application.
Applications which are not fully completed with the correct documents attached will not be given priority or will be returned.
1. ARTISTS
The last day of membership is exactly one year from the artist’s first exhibition.
Artists not admitted into their selected artist category may be eligible for the Starter Free Level, at the discretion of the Selection Committee.
At the Starter Free Level, our Partners can become aware of these artists’ work and potentially ask them to exhibit.
If this happens, Art-Trope will review its initial decision and possibly move the artist into a higher category. The door is never closed to artists by ART-TROPE!
1.1 GOALS & BENEFITS FOR OUR ARTISTS
Regardless of your career achievements, ART-TROPE welcomes all artists who are passionate about their work – from art school graduates and autodidacts to artists already under contract with galleries.
ART-TROPE will mobilize your work and your career.
We offer 3 membership packages which range from free membership to less than $100 per month offering a plethora of services.
All paying members can even have access to additional professional services at a discounted price, such as Grant Application writing, one-on-one coaching and more.

1.2 APPLICATION PROCESS
• Step 1 - Receipt of your APPLICATION,
• Step 2 - Receipt of PICTURES OF YOUR ARTWORKS,
• Step 3 - Processing and review of your file by our panel of art professionals,
• Step 4 - Our feedback: your application is (or is not) accepted by ART | TROPE,
• Step 5 - If your application is accepted: you select your artist category and membership package level,
• Step 6 - If you choose package 2 ($69) or 3 ($99): you receive an electronic bill,
• Step 7 - Upon receipt of your payment membership is approved and your PORTFOLIO is published online,
• Step 8 - Our exhibition partners select artists & artworks,
• Step 9 - Contracts are drawn by ART | TROPE between you and our EXHIBITION PARTNERS,
• Step 10 - Your artist career is launched TO THE NEXT LEVEL!
1.3 WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR 1 YEAR MEMBERSHIP
ART | TROPE STARTER: FREE
• Stand-alone web page displaying up to 3 artworks
• Web page will display artist’s name only
• One-year commitment (ART | TROPE will have no exclusivity rights)
ART | TROPE PRO: $69 / Month
• Stand-alone web page displaying up to 6 artworks
• Web page will display full contact info of artist and artist’s dealer/agent
• Google referencing
• Matching with our exhibit partners
• 250 personalized business cards
• At least 3 ART | TROPE exhibits scheduled per year
• Access to local network of art professionals
• Discounts and special offers from our sponsors
• ART | TROPE will take 30% commission (no commission for exhibits arranged via artist’s own gallery)
• One-year commitment (ART | TROPE will have no exclusivity rights)
ART | TROPE ELITE PRO: $99 / Month
• Stand-alone web page displaying up to 12 artworks
• Web page will display full contact info of artist and artist’s dealer/agent
• Google referencing
• Matching with our exhibit partners
• 500 personalized business cards
• At least 5 ART | TROPE exhibits scheduled per year
• Access to local and international network of art professionals
• Discounts and special offers from our sponsors
• ART | TROPE will take 25% commission (no commission for exhibits arranged via artist’s own gallery)
• One year commitment (ART | TROPE will have no exclusivity rights)

1.4 WHAT YOUR 1 YEAR MEMBERSHIP DOES NOT INCLUDE
• This application form is exclusive for ART-TROPE NEW YORK MEMBERSHIPS and does not apply to members who want to exhibit in other cities in the US;
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for modifying or updating your individual internet page during the 1-year membership;
• ART-TROPE is not responsible if some exhibition venues are not available on your requested dates or if any exhibition partner refuses to exhibit your work;
• ART-TROPE cannot be held responsible if you don’t accept the space that ART-TROPE’s partners propose to you. After 3 offers, you will be obligated to accept the final space offered to you.
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for any [problems that arise] between our artists and partners. However, we kindly ask that you notify us should such a situation arise;
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for a lack of sales resulting from our events and exhibitions;
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for any costs incurred during private viewings or special openings during ART-TROPE exhibitions;
• ART-TROPE is not required to be present during your ART-TROPE exhibitions;
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for any theft or damage [to] the art-works (all partners are required to have their own general liability insurance with an art rider, or each artist is free to sign a liability waiver);
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for any theft or damage to the exhibit space;
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for the cost of any insurance policy at partners’ exhibit spaces;
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for any exhibition costs besides the scheduling and arrangement of contracts with our partners (e.g. of costs not covered by Art-Trope: frames, insurance, private viewings, transportation of your art-work, hanging of artworks, etc);
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for any conflicts of interest with our other members.
1.5 MEMBERSHIP FORFEITURE AND CANCELLATION
• Enrollment to ART-TROPE is annual;
• Disrespect of ART-TROPE’s community of artists, partners or sponsors will be considered “just cause” for the complete cancellation of membership;
• Disrespect of ART-TROPE’s image will be considered “just cause” for the complete cancellation of membership and this will not be a valid justification for a refund or any further legal action;
• Breaking an ART-TROPE contract signed between an artist and an exhibition partner will be considered “just cause” for the complete cancellation of membership and this will not be a valid justification for a refund or any further legal action;
• It is possible that ART-TROPE will encounter technical problems, such as website downtime, scheduling conflicts, exhibition space issues, etc; this will not be a valid justification for lawsuits;
• ART-TROPE is committed to meeting your expectations, but we will not be responsible if your expectations are not met completely and this will not be a valid justification for a refund or any further legal action;
• If an exhibition does not have liability insurance to protect the people or the artwork of our artists, Art-Trope will not take any responsibility.
1.6 YOUR ANNUAL COMMITMENT
• This membership is on an annual basis (12 months) and no refund of your annual subscription will be permitted;
• You commit to your artist category for a year without the ability to change from that category to a lower priced one;
• You commit to your artist category for a year without exclusivity fees;
• You commit to respect ART-TROPE's image or your membership could be forfeited without refund of your annual subscription;
• You commit to honor the contracts signed with our exhibition partners or your membership could be forfeited without refund of your annual subscription;
• You commit yourself to honor the contract signed with our partners or your membership could be forfeited without refund of your annual subscription;
• You commit yourself to transfer a 25% or 30% commission fee on your sales to ART-TROPE whenever you exhibit with one of our partners (no commission fee for artists exhibiting in an official partnering or sponsoring art gallery).
1.7 SUMMARY OF FILES TO PROVIDE
To complete your application, you need to provide us with the following items:
• Your application form, completed and submitted
• Your portrait image (in high resolution jpeg or 90x90 pixels);
• 6 to 14 images of your artworks (in high resolution jpeg or up to 1024x768 pixels);
• Title and description of your six to twelve artwork images in the order of your choice.

There are 2 ways in which you can submit your application:

2. PARTNERS
2.1 GOALS & BENEFITS FOR OUR PARTNERS
Regardless of your industry, if you are able to exhibit artists in your public or private space, you can become a partner.
We welcome your business whether it is an art gallery, a hotel, a restaurant, a bar, a lounge or a corporate space.
If you can make a one-year commitment, you can join ART-TROPE at no charge (the first year).
Consider it a service exchange:
You provide an exhibition space for our artists and we provide you with art to display as well as the following:
• A stand alone individual page on www.art-trope.com with your company logo and profile, six photos of your exhibit space and a link to your website;
• Your company name referenced in Google and all major search engines;
• Your choice of artists and dates of exhibition;
• Contracts for artists to sign before each exhibition;
• Discounts with our sponsors;
• Additional publicity during your Art-Trope exhibitions, special events and promotions;
• For art galleries, your exhibition calendar will be attached to your art-trope.com individual page. ART-TROPE does not take any commission for exhibitions organized by art galleries.
We will do our best to schedule the artists you selected based on their availability.
2.2 APPLICATION PROCESS
• Step 1 - Receipt of your complete file (above application online and pictures of your space),
• Step 2 - Processing your file,
• Step 3 - Publishing your documents online,
• Step 4 - Your selection of our artists in the appropriate category,
• Step 5 - Contracts made by ART-TROPE between you and our artists.

• ART-TROPE is not responsible for modifying or updating your individual internet page during the 1-year membership;
• ART-TROPE is not responsible if your selected artists are not available on your requested dates;
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for any disagreements between our artists or partners. However, we kindly ask that you notify us should this situation arise;
• ART-TROPE is in no way responsible for a lack of business growth resulting from our events and exhibitions;
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for any costs incurred during private viewings or special openings during ART-TROPE exhibitions;
• ART-TROPE is not required to be present during your ART-TROPE exhibitions;
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for any theft or damage to the art-works (all partners are required to have their own general liability insurance coverage with an art rider);
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for any theft or damage to the exhibit space;
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for any insurance policy for your exhibit space;
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for any conflicts of interest with our other members.
2.4 MEMBERSHIP FORFEITURE AND CANCELLATION
• Enrollment to ART-TROPE is annual;
• Disrespect of ART-TROPE’s community of partners, sponsors or artists will be considered “just cause” for the complete cancellation of membership;
• Disrespect of ART-TROPE’s image will be considered “just cause” for the complete cancellation of membership;
• Breaking an ART-TROPE contract signed between a partner and an artist will be considered “just cause” for the complete cancellation of membership;
• It is possible that ART-TROPE will encounter technical problems, such as website downtime, scheduling conflicts, exhibition space issues, etc. This will not be a valid justification for lawsuits;
• ART-TROPE is committed to meeting your expectations, but we will not be responsible if your expectations are not met completely and this will not be a valid justification for lawsuits;
• If you do not have liability insurance to protect the people or the artwork of our artists, we will not take any responsibility.
2.5 YOUR ANNUAL COMMITMENT
• This membership is on an annual basis (12 months);
• You commit to your selection of artists for a year;
• You commit to respect ART-TROPE's image;
• You commit to honor the contracts signed with our artists;
• You commit to send an email to ART-TROPE at the end of each exhibition. This email will allow us to follow up on each of our artists’ schedules.
2.6 SUMMARY OF FILES TO PROVIDE
To complete your application, you need to provide us with the following items:
• Your application form, completed and signed
• A copy of the insurance policy for your exhibit space (this insurance is to protect against damage or theft of any exhibited artworks as well as any personal injury within your space. If you do not have insurance, please contact us)
• Your company logo or image (in high resolution jpeg or 90x90 pixels)
• 3 to 6 images of your exhibit space (in high resolution jpeg up to 1024x768 pixels)
• Title and description of your four to six images in the order of your choice in a Microsoft Word document (10-30 words per description)

• Discounts with our other sponsors;
• Additional publicity during Art-Trope exhibitions, special events and promotions.

• ART-TROPE is not responsible for any additional promotional costs incurred during private viewings or special openings during ART-TROPE exhibitions at the will of one sponsor – besides the standard acknowledgment banners we offer in this package;
• ART-TROPE is not responsible for any conflicts of interest with our other members.

• Disrespect of ART-TROPE’s community of partners, sponsors or artists will be considered “just cause” for the complete cancellation of membership;
