After a decade's worth of creative and business endeavors under her belt, Virginie Tison is working on her new business venture ART | TROPE. As a working artist in France, Ms. Tison has established a stable international network, yet she realized like all artists, the difficulty to balance business with creation. In May 2009, Ms. Tison tackled the challenge of creating a collective that would merge business, promotional and practical aspects of the art world. Her own network has bolstered ART | TROPE's ability to help artists find their footing in the professional art market. ART | TROPE forges professional relationships for artists through our connections with high profile exhibition sites and well-established sponsors in the creative arena. Step one is an international virtual agency for artists with either free or low fees to enable them to conduct exhibitions, at first in New York, then spreading out nationally and internationally. ART | TROPE goes above and beyond the call of many artists collectives: it's a one-stop shop and artist survival guide with exhibit planning workshops, art grant writing assistance, lawyers assistance, coaching assistance, discounts with our business sponsors and a custom made micro-website for ART | TROPE members. Firstly, ART | TROPE provides its partners with a portfolio containing the artwork of all its artists at no charge. Partners then decide the artwork they wish to exhibit in their public or private space to best suit their schedules and business aesthetic. Lastly, our sponsors supports the entire ART | TROPE community by offering discounted services for all our members. Bear in mind that ART | TROPE is not an art dealer. We want our artists to concentrate on creating art and to leave the logistics to us.
